How much storage capacity should the Powerwall batteries have?
The storage capacity of the Powerwall battery is adapted to your needs. The storage should be large enough to supply a single-family home with solar power from the evening until the next morning.
For an average four-person household with an annual energy consumption of about 5000-kilowatt hours (kwh), a size of 7 kwh is usually sufficient.
Calculation: 5,000 kwh / 365 days = 13. 7 kWh per day and about 7 kWh of that for the night.
To choose the right storage size, it is recommended to determine the electricity demand of your household as accurately as possible. For this purpose, you so consider the energy consumption of the
